How do I get dust off regular wax candles?

I bought some candles for decorative effect, and they have attracted dust and I just can’t seem to get it off. Ideas?

    Put a bit of white spirit or turps or lighter fluid on a rag and wipe.

    Use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and rub gently.
